Quinta da Escocia is situated 6 miles north of the village of
Bensafrim, a village with shops and restaurants. The Quinta is a
restored Algarvean farmhouse surrounded by it’s own 160 acres of
wild flowers and rolling countryside, which ensures total peace and
privacy. It is built on the slope of a totally undeveloped and
unspoilt valley, 3 minutes drive from Pincho a typical rural hamlet
which has a bar and telephone.
The accommodation consists of 4 double bedrooms (one with a double
bed), two bathrooms and a shower room and there are two extra beds
in the loft conversion over the washroom. There is a spacious
kitchen, dining room and large lounge. The whole house has been well
furnished to make the most of the comfort and space available. Three
bedrooms look out over the magnificent countryside and get all the
morning sun and the fourth bedroom on the other side gets the
evening sun. Old Portuguese houses have high ceilings which help to
cool the villa during the heat of the day. There is also a wood
burning fire for cooler times of the year. Satelite Tv
There is a full size swimming pool in the garden which has the sun
on it all day. It has a lockable gate to deter the very young. There
are plenty of sun loungers.
The maid, Lucillia works from 9.am to 1.pm, 6 days a week. She will
wash up, clean and do the washing. She lives a short walk away, is
very reliable and helpful. She is also a very good cook and for a
little extra will come back and cook dinner for you or babysit.
The villa is fully equipped and the power is supplied by a generator
which is switched on and off as required in the wash room. It is
serviced daily by Lucillia’s husband |
